This is such a great organization and every city in America needs to have a Shepherd's Center serving older adults in that community. Their services within our community, such as free transportation to medical appointments, provides a assistance to older adults who no longer drive. They also have social events, such as luncheons with speakers and classes that get older adults to meet others their own age. All of these supportive programs help older adults remain living independently in their own homes as long as possible. The Shepherd's Centers network in cities across America is a real bonus for those communities, especially since we are living longer and want to remain connected.
