Last year I decided I was ready to find my “fur baby”. I came across Luca on the PAWS adoption page and instantly fell in love with her. I knew right then I needed to adopt her and give her a forever home. I live in Massachusetts and she was in a foster home in Texas so unfortunately I was unable to meet her prior to adoption. At first I was skeptical about it but the process they took to make sure she was a good match for me put me at ease. I spoke with a woman from PAWS who explained the process to me, then had someone come to my house to make sure I was a suitable pet owner and that Luca would be taken care of. Following this I then was able to speak with her Foster mother, Betsy, who assured me she was a wild child but had a loving, fun personality. Betsy was very honest and I was appreciative for that. 2 weeks later I drove to the drop off location and was given Luca and knew I made the right choice. She has been such a joy to have. She greets me with kisses in the morning, she plays well with other dogs and has been working on her bad habits but without a doubt I wouldn’t trade her for the world. PAWS helps so many animals in need and I absolutely will be adopting from them again in the future!
