I was paralyzed in a skiing accident at Alpine Meadows when I was 16 years old. It took me 3 decades to return to the sport of skiing and now it's all I can think of at times.
I have Achieve Tahoe to thank for challenging me to do what I didn't think I ever could again. I have Achieve Tahoe to thank for showing me that I can get through the stormiest of winter days. I have Achieve Tahoe to thank for keeping me safe while I experienced the amazing adrenaline of flying down the steepest of snow-covered mountains. I have Achieve Tahoe to thank for some of the happiest days of freedom out of my wheelchair; days of snow skiing, water skiing, kayaking, canoeing, and tubing on Donner, white water rafting on the American and 4-wheeling on the Rubicon Trail. Blessed by their laughter and kindness and forever grateful to the staff at Achieve Tahoe.
