I continue to be blown away at the enduring pleasure offered by volunteering for CardzforKidz. So uplifting for the volunteers that the hours go by unnoticed and we can get so much work done. Yes it is work to count and process and make cards but the ROI is very high and sustained. I encourage you to add your creativity toward making a card for a isolated or disheartened child, senior or military hero. So worth it.

A Win-Win-Win for all! The time and love to create, and deliver cards and the recipient smiles and warmth as they read and display their cards goes farther than the trio engaged here. Passersby, the postal carriers at the multiple shipping facilities, the store clerks that learn of the purpose of the card making projects, and the Families of those creators and the receivers- all witness the sharing of heart, and the intangible healing of the soul through the simplest media. I am continually enraptured and amazed. I make a few cards compared to the groups who make dozens upon hundreds, but we all share in the bliss of giving.

As a board member involved from the inception, I remain amazed how much this simple act of delivering a handmade card makes a difference for the receiver and their families. The focus is on putting a smile on the recipient's face. How simple. How rewarding. Mind-boggling is the amount of work behind the scenes. The work is tremendous with a payoff of a smile. Worth it for the hundreds of volunteer hours by committed volunteers who leave a session of counting, sorting, and packaging cards with a smile.

Cardz for Kidz is great! Why? This non-profit took a challenging and life changing experience and turned it into a phenomenal pay-it-forward organization. A simple concept of getting homemade cards to share with children, and now seniors, who could use a fun and friendly perspective in their life works! Making cards for Cardz for Kidz brings me lots of peace. I call my friends to help me with thoughts and phrases to make the reader laugh. Caring is sharing both in creating the card and seeing the smiles of the children receiving them because they now know someone else cares for them.
