In 2006 my Dad was diagnosed with end stage prostate cancer. Knowing Dana and Lazarex - I turned to them for guidance. They quickly mobilized and provided referrals and access to doctors and opportunities that we would not have known about otherwise. Although they did not provide financial assistance to us, they gave us much more: Hope. When all others told us to quit - Lazarex still offered hope. It was the only thing we had left. I am grateful to Lazarex because they provided us that hope and encouragement which was so important to keeping us motivated and our spirits lifted in such a dark time. They care and the go out of their way to help patients and their families find hope. I lost my Dad to cancer in December 2007. Not a day goes by that I don't think back and know that because of Lazarex - I was able to do everything I could to help my Dad and still he didn't make it. He knew it too - he was able to go knowing everyone was still pulling for him and we were battling to the end. He never had to give up, just give in...
