Review for Community Health and Men's Promotion Summit (CHAMPS), Atlanta, GA, USA
Men are much less connected to the healthcare system than women are. Men are notoriously difficult to get to go the doctor. Men don't have much information about their health, try to solve problems on their own, and often have to take off from work just to see about their health. By setting up free screenings on a weekend day, CHAMP fills a badly needed gap, overcoming concerns about cost, providing needed information and making heathcare much more convenient to men.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
I've been screened at CHAMPS and found out important things about my own health early enough to do something about it.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Do it more often and in cities all around the country.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
How many people it has helped.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Dedicated.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Reach a lot more people who need helap and may not even know it.
Ways to make it better...
Screenings were held year round in locations all throughout the country.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Lack of public awareness about men's health in general and minority men's health in particular.
One thing I'd also say is that...
Men's health isn't just about men. Men's health affects families, children, and the economy. If men had less illness, disabilty and premature death the world would be a better place for everyone.
