Review for Multidisciplinary Association For Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), San Jose, CA, USA
In my experience, MAPS has proven to be the most progressive and the most active research based non-profit I have ever seen. Its 2010 conference was amazingly well organized and proved to be the most informative and inspiring gathering of scientific and humanitarian minds I have attended. In my opinion, this organization could very well be advancing the most important scientific and psychological inquiries of our era, and I am honored to be able to take part in it as much as I can. I will be a member of MAPS for years to come, always filled with anticipation of the next gem of truth spoken by affiliated doctors and researches and of the next stories from people whose lives have drastically changed for the better because of the work promoted by MAPS. Thankfully my anticipation has always been rewarded as MAPS also primarily values the actual information discovered by their research. Thus they strive to make their data accessible to the general public, creating the most effective form of research (unbiased and openly reported to the public) and the most respectable public face that I have ever seen for a research based organization while also promoting a well-informed general public. MAPS has touched my life in a way for which I will always be thankful.
