WVHN is a great resource for local horse owners and horses in need. They have a unique program called Barn Buddies that my 10 year old son has participated in the last two years. They teach horsemanship skills along with hands-on training with rescued horses.

My son and I had just started volunteering with WVHN when I had an emergent need with my own horse. Nicky stepped in and helped out tremendously when I needed it the most. The volunteers here are genuine and care about the horses they encounter.
