Review for Animal Rescue League of Boston, Dedham, MA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

My experience with the Animal Rescue League of Boston has been fun, varied and extremely rewarding. It has included fostering (cats, kittens and rabbits), volunteering (puppy transports), helping a neighbor connect with the ARL Community Cats program, and our own pet adoptions. I have found the ARL to be amazingly well organized, with dedicated staff and volunteers. As a foster parent, I always had an experienced staff person to reach out to for any issues. As a transport volunteer, I always had clear direction on my duties and as to the goals of the day. I loved seeing the transported dogs and puppies joyfully settling in when we got to the shelter's quarantine facility. I was impressed by the professionalism, responsiveness and diplomacy of the Community Cats team when aiding a neighbor in need of TNR service. Our adoption experience has also been great - both when we adopted a foster kitten a few years ago and recently, when we adopted our puppy. The level of information, both medical and behavioral that is provided is excellent. It makes you feel well prepared in starting out with a new pet. I look forward to continuing to foster and volunteer for the ARL!

I started fostering for the ARL in 2015 and have been very impressed with the care they provide to the animals. I have been amazed at the efforts they put into saving an animal through their foster program. The orphaned kittens, pregnant cats, nursing moms (cats & dogs), sick, shy, senior or special needs animals that come through their doors are given extra TLC through their foster program. The volunteers and staff are great to interact with and I really enjoy trying to lend a hand through fostering. Attached are a few pictures of some of our past fosters (all healthy & in new homes now).
