We first met Yvette with Lost Paws Rescue Of Texas In December 2009. We were searching the Petfinder website for a female Dachshund and were connected to Lost Paws. We were excited that they had a beautiful little red female dachshund and Yvette arranged for us to meet her right away. It was love at first sight and we adopted her (Lily). We kept in touch with Yvette, including occasionally texting her pictures, and would go see her yearly at a local adopt a pet event. Six years later we decided that Lily might be more active if she had a fur sibling. This time I went straight to the Lost Paws site and I was excited to see that they had a small female Dachshund available. Yvette was excited to hear from me and to know that we were looking for a sister for Lily. We took Lily to meet her (Gracie) to make sure the match was okay with Lily. They were sisters the moment they met and we brought Gracie home that day. They are both amazing little girls and we love them to pieces. Because of Yvette's tireless efforts to help dogs and cats find homes, we have two beautiful little dogs who are a very important part of our life. Yvette rescued both of our girls from Dallas Animal Services which gave them a much higher chance of being adopted. We will be forever grateful to Yvette for that act of kindness.
