I have been working closely with the The Fort Lauderdale Historic Society for the past two years. We are creating an extensive history and photo gallery in our building that was the former site of Lauderdale Beach Hotel. Portions of this 1936 hotel have been preserved. The hotel was instrumental in creating Fort Lauderdale as a tourist destination

Their assistance in researching and furnishing old photographs and the history behind them has been invaluable. Many of the photographs used for the exhibit was obtained from them

After almost a two and a half year process this Gallery will be completed next month. We are very appreciate to all those that assisted from the Fort Lauderdale Historic Society that helped make it possible
