Unfortunately I had to put my lab Sammy down 5/29/18. I had looked in the animal adoption feature of the paper and saw Buddy's picture. I could not get that picture out of my mind so I submitted an application and arranged a home visit with Cat which went very well. I was soon contacted again to provide vacation relief for Buddy's foster parents who were going out of town. I jumped at the chance and went to pick him up along with my other chocolate lab Kona Kai. The experience with the foster family was positive and the dogs got along fine. Buddy fit into my home perfectly and I was heartbroken when the foster family offered to pick him up when their trip was over. I contacted their sponsor and to make a long story short, they arranged for me to adopt Buddy. This dog feels like a lifeline to me and I feel like he is my therapy dog. Karen, the sponsor for his foster family was so sweet in answering my questions and helping him transition with his diet and medications. This whole experience has been nothing but positive and I'm thrilled with Buddy who now follows me everywhere. I'm also hooked on their website a pray for all the animals to find good homes and would adopt two more dogs if I didn't already have 2 dogs and 2 cats!! I want to be a volunteer and work with animals when I retire. Buddy brings me so much joy after I have experienced many personal losses in the last two years. I love you all very much and if I was computer savvy I would send a picture.
