My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Red Creek Wildlife Center Inc, Schuykl Havn, PA, USA
I have been with Redcreek as a volunteer for about 4 years and have been on the Board for about 2 years. I have helped care for animals when they have come in critical, I have captured and transported them, and I've done some behind the scenes work. Redcreek not only cares for sick, injured and orphaned wildlife but also educates everyone who comes in and calls. I have also helped do many programs, one of my favorite things to do because I enjoy talking to people and educating them. Our center always does what is in the best interest of the animal not ourselves, sometimes that is a very hard thing to do. Peggy and Morrie are very dear to my heart, they are very good people. The volunteers are a vital part to this organization as well, they do many jobs in addition to caring for the animals. Redcreek has great success in what they do. They are well educated in their field and compassionate about what they do. When you call or go there please know you are in the best hands. It takes special people, unselfish people to do this around the clock, and I know that every volunteer current and past would agree that when you get to set the animals free, your soul has been touched because there is nothing greater than to be a witness to freedom.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
many ways. Probably the most memorable for me was our bald eagle. I remember we needed to take a blood sample, and it was 1:30 in the morning, and it took everything Peggy, Morrie and I had to hold our girl down. She is doin great now.
