Review for Multidisciplinary Association For Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), San Jose, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

My favorite things about maps is that they are pioneers in virtually unchartered territory. Well psychedelic territory has been chartered by those that have experienced psychedelics, but what maps does is distills the very best that the experience has to offer and harvest it's scientific benefits. Many experimental users of psychedelics have understood that their is much potential , psychologically, socailly, spiritually etc from these states of being, and MAPS takes a scientific approach to understanding what these benefits are and how they can be obtained.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

My attendence at Alex Grey's opening of his art studio in NY called Sacred Chapels and also got a chance to visit the house of Laura Huxley (widow of Aldous Huxley). Both were blasts, and I will remember them forever.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I would make it more visible to the public.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

fun gatherings

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

nice

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

make serious progress in understanding and treating post traumatic stress disorder

Ways to make it better...

nothing

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

the stigma associated with psychedelic drugs and ignorance on the possible scientific breatkthroughs.

One thing I'd also say is that...

nothing
