Review for Multidisciplinary Association For Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), San Jose, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I was inspired to become a creative artist as a result of my experiences with psychedelic plants and chemicals in the 1960's. I have since made monumental works of art in stained glass in prominent houses of worship, and have received honors such a Fellowship from the National Endowment on the Arts for my work in glass art. MAPS is the most intelligent and effective organization trying to enlighten the general public about the benefits for humanity these sacred substances can have.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I have been inspired by their Conferences and the excellent journal they publish, networking at conferences.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Give them a lot more money to help them expand the excellent work they are already doing.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

MAPS is the most intelligent and effective organization trying to enlighten the public about the benefits of psychedelic plants and drugs. They managed to restart research which was halted by ignorant fools in the 60's.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Intelligent, professional, well educated, brilliant in their fields of Medicine, Law, the Arts, Creative Writing, etc.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Change the world for the better by using Propaganda and Advertising to enlighten the Masses about the great benefits psychedelics offer to humanity.

Ways to make it better...

Thousands more people joined MAPS and came to the conferences.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

The stupidity of the general public and the elected officials in the government, the stupid Judges and Police, and the imbecility of the masses.

One thing I'd also say is that...

Rick Doblin, the Founder and Executive Director of MAPS, is a very wise, funny, patient, cunning, and intelligent man. I can't imagine anyone could do a better job trying to enlighten people about the benefits of psychedlics. I love and respect him.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About once a year

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2009

Role:  Donor & I have been a member of MAPS for decades, and attended several of their conferences. I read the Journal they publish with great interesr, and save all the issues.
