After volunteering with dog rescue for more than 8 years, the recent discovery of Doing Right By Rescues was the best resource I found to assist our adopters. Educating and helping adopters understand the anxious and fearful behaviors of many rescue dogs is often overlooked or treated in ways that do not address how to allow a stressed dog decompress. The individualized and caring attention provided by Pam has saved dogs from being returned to rescue by families who did not know how to deal with certain anxious behaviors. This organization fills a much-needed gap in rehoming rescue dogs and their adoptive families.
