Review for Multidisciplinary Association For Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), San Jose, CA, USA
My brother-in-law was stationed in Baghdad for over a year. During his stay there he was caught in a n explosion involving a humvee and a IED (Improvised Explosive Device.) Not being seriously physically injured he returned to duty. However his nerves were shot and he was experiencing symptoms of PTSD. Not being able to cope with this situation he was eventually medically discharged. After a bout of prescription medicine addiction, he finally decided to take my advice and investigate alternative concepts to his problem. I had recently read of the success the Swiss were having with MDMA psychotherapy on MAPS website and their success in having this practice legalized here in the US. He continued to research this subject and has started taking the steps toward a healing state. MAPS is an organization that I wholeheartedly endorse and continue to donate to.
