Review for Multidisciplinary Association For Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), San Jose, CA, USA
I feel strongly that MAPS plays a very important and unique function in our society. The scientific investigation of psychedelics for medicinal and healing purposes is a topic that I hold dear as a current medical student and future physician. The way in which I will one day practice medicine should not be determined by political hysteria or misinformation, but rather by the honest evidence provided to us by the scientific method and direct human experience. I am very grateful to MAPS for the pioneering work they are conducting and for making my future possible.
