Review for Multidisciplinary Association For Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), San Jose, CA, USA
I am new to the world of psychedelic studies and have found the people at MAPS to be willing to assist in my work. They are professional and systematic in their work which is useful for overcoming the bias against this type of work both among both researchers and government interests. I high recommend anyone conducting or considering research on psychedelics to cultivate a relationship with MAPS...you won't be sorry.
More Feedback
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
My work. They have provided excellent feedback on my draft observational protocol.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Double it's budget!
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
Their professinalism and willingness to help.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
I've not met any of them except over email.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Support research to help identify the beneficial uses of drugs like ayahuasca, mushrooms, LSD and MDMA.
Ways to make it better...
I could meet the staff in person.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
The bias against doing research on psychedelics.
One thing I'd also say is that...
I hope the recent press around MAPS leads to greater funding for this important work.
