Review for Lost Paws Rescue of Texas, Carrollton, TX, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Almost ten years ago, I met my darling "Cheyenne Affenpinscher", now often called "Siani" ("Shawny"), on "Petfinder." The second I saw her magical elfin face and dainty wee body, my heart soared. Then a complete sentence formed itself in my mind: "Wherever you are, I am coming for you." And so, guided by love, our most wonderful adventure began.
Cheyenne had been rescued from a mill and was being fostered in Texas; I lived in Toronto, Canada - with no passport and burdened by a dire fear of flying. Yet without hesitating, I applied successfully for Cheyenne, got the passport, and the flight day finally arrived: snow storm in January - big, big snow storm. But it was warm and clear at the Dallas airport, which is where I met a most wonderful woman, Yvette Garza from Lost Paws of Texas. With her was the smallest, cutest, most magical little elf of a dog I could ever even imagine. Yet there she was, before my very eyes! Back to Toronto we flew, that very same day, and - once we could finally land in the thick, swirling snow - we began our charmed lives together.
I am a therapist and Siani comes to work with me. Now sixteen, this tiny, calm, sweet, funny, gentle, serene, kind little dog continues to soothe and enchant people of all ages. Often, she brings a toy out and drops it at the feet of her chosen human playmate, as if to say, "Why talk when you can play?" She brings wide smiles and heartfelt joy everywhere she goes. She is especially fond of children, seeking out their open nature and gentle touch.
I am beyond blessed to share my life with this beautiful, miraculous little being.
Lost Paws of Texas, the world is immeasurably better for having you in it, as are those who owe their precious lives to you, including my beloved Siani. Through you, she and I "rescued" each other, and I am more grateful to you, Yvette, and Lost Paws of Texas than words can ever say.

Love from MJ and Siani
