My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Players For Pits, Warrenville, IL, USA
If you've been told they have a universal 'renters policy' and that is the basis for your rejection, it is a lie. They have no such policy, as confirmed by the founder, and frequently adopt out to renters, so I implore you to dig deeper and demand honesty and accountability from this rescue.
In response to the comment:
I'm not Lisa. I saw Lisa's comment and felt dismayed that you all lied to yet another person. I'd be happy to provide screenshots of the emails in which Stephanie said you do not adopt out to people in apartments even with explicit landlord approval because of your "Renter's Policy". You have repeated this lie to multiple people. The least you could do is be honest with your reasoning for denial or even just not give one at all, either choice is better than deception.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Be honest with hopeful adopters about their application, dog availability, policies and requirements and not invent them depending on the adopter (rather than a completely acceptable case by case basis for each dog's needs).
Hi erin, Your application was denied because you were not able to provide our basic standards for adopting a puppy. In your opposing review as Lisa, we explained to you that we could not adopt out a puppy to you due to your landlord's weight limit. Please stop trolling our pages.
