Review for Friendship Bridge, Lakewood, CO, USA
As a volunteer with Friendship Bridge since 2008, I especially enjoy their Insight Trips to visit clients in Guatemala. It is rewarding to see what a huge impact a small loan coupled with education has on the daily lives of the women, their families, and their communities. The clients are always eager to share with us about their recent improvements such as the acquisition of electricity, the purchase of a sewing machine, or that they are now able to send all of their children (even the girls!) to school.
It is one thing to read about what Friendship Bridge does, but to actually experience it adds another dimension of understanding. The staff members, both here in the U.S. and in Guatemala, listen carefully to the clients and are able to tailor the educational, artisanal, agricultural, and medical programs to best fit their needs.
As a donor, I feel confident that Friendship Bridge provides their clients with services that are vital to both their business development and their overall wellbeing.
