Review for Naples Therapeutic Riding Center, Naples, FL, USA
I can't tell you what a simple joy it is to volunteer at the NEC. Everyone is always happy there and you can't help but smile too I don't care if it's been the worst day of your life when you get there and see all of the riders who have far greater problems than you do smiling and eager to ride your problems just seem to vanish. Also the horses are the sweetest calmest and most gentle animals I have ever had the pleasure to work with.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
I've seen a rider that when she came to us she was totally non-verbal and when I came back from a long absence due to college for the first time I heard her give her horse the verbal command "Walk On" and the command "Whoa"
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
There is nothing that needs to be changed about the NEC. This is a fantastic place with amazing people and animals doing wonderful work!
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
watching the riders grow and blossom as well as giving me some perspective when it comes to my own disabilities
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
simply amazing braving the florida heat and such to help people that are otherwise written off in the regular world
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
move to a larger facility to accommodate more horses and riders invest in sound equipment and microphones that don't issue the occasional burst of static that spooks some of the horses
Ways to make it better...
if the weather was a tad more comfortable but other than that it's perfect
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
the cost of maintaining older animals and finding good replacements for the ones that have been retired
One thing I'd also say is that...
this place is simply amazing and that the people that work there are wonderful
