Review for Multidisciplinary Association For Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), San Jose, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

MAPS takes on the important and difficult task of helping to use science to evaluate a number of chemical compounds that have been so thoroughly demonized by the multi-decade, multi-trillion dollar war on drugs that in many places the mere discussion of these compounds has become verboten. Through careful study, the truth that is emerging via MAPS’ good work is that substances like LSD, Psilocybin, MDMA, Iboga and others are proving to be very helpful to people suffering with Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome, Alcoholism and other addictions, fears of death and dying, Obsessive/Compulsive Disorder, Social Anxieties, among other ailments that afflict humanity. I am particularly hopeful that men and women returning from war will eventually benefit from the careful and controlled use of the drugs that MAPS funding helps to study.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in the fact that people are beginning to discuss drugs like LSD and Psilocybin publicly without becoming hysterical.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

that they are making progress. Psychedelic drugs are being studied scientifically.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

kind and courteous.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

help relieve a lot of suffering in this world.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2010

Role:  Donor & I give money and attention to the issues that MAPS concerns itself with.
