Review for Multidisciplinary Association For Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), San Jose, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

In my experience MAPS is an indispensable resource for researchers and people in need of cutting edge research in areas such as cluster headache, ptsd, dealing with terminal cancer and how the mind and the body interacts. Not only the research they support directly, but also the stance they keep that states that current and credible science should not be judged by old shock media based prejudice and misconceptions. This acts like a guiding star and a beacon of hope for people in a field that have had to take more oppression than most since the days of Galilei. I tip my hat to the hard working non profit organisation MAPS for aiding where help is needed and few dare to walk.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Support, information and ongoing news in regards to the field I am involved.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Make it bigger, more influential and make sure it could have a budget that allowed it to get involved in a higher amount of important projects in America and around the world.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Their enthusiasm, dedication, energy and commitment to an an extremely difficult field of work.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Very knowledgeable, hard working and determined to help researchers people in need of the result of many of these studies and medicines.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Revolutionize the lives of billions by making huge advances in mind-body research, psychiatry, psychology, addiction treatment, post traumatic stress disorder treatment and many other related fields.

Ways to make it better...

They wore more well known globally.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Old outdated misconceptions and stale and slow reform machineries that they have to move through.

One thing I'd also say is that...

MAPS is the only organisation that I feel that I should, and do, share part of my salary with in small donations when I can. This because the work they do is so important that it must go on.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2010

Role:  Volunteer & I have worked politically to help sufferers of Hortons, with MAPS help.
