Review for Greeneville Farmers Market, Greeneville, TN, USA
I have been volunteering and serving as a board member for Greeneville Farmers Market since 2006. I have watched this market grow and get better all along. Totally due to efforts of the Market Manager, Judy Shelton.
No matter what is going on, Judy is moving forward for the market and to serve the farmers and community here in Greene County. Winter and summer she is at it, making contacts, learning new things, attending seminars, all on her own dime by the way.
She has brought the Greeneville Farmers Market into first place in our county with her efforts for everyone, and she works hard to bring all the newest information on the SNAP program out to assist in fresh food purchases.
To carry on year round, Judy implemented an online market where you can order things in advance from listed vendors, and pick them up on the scheduled dates.
Greene County suffers from many food deserts where the elderly can't make it to the market on the market days. I really wish someone could come up with a way to transport these people, and the lowest income members of our community to the market on market days to assist them in having the availability of obtaining better, fresher food.
Judy also schedules learning experiences and entertainments for market days.
If you aren't coming to the Greeneville Farmers Market, you are really missing out.

Review for A Safe Harbor Home, Inc., Greeneville, TN, USA
I spent nine years as a board member for this non-profit. Their heart is finely directed, and they are dedicated to the people they are able to serve.
Volunteering for this organization will help you in the future to work with others, as they are very focused on doing things the right way.
