PugHearts is an AMAZING organization! Not only do they accept any pug in any condition, they are a huge system of support and education for all of those involved with and interested in the breed. We have adopted 3 pugs from PugHearts over the past 4 years. We have also fostered a pug who was adopted by a wonderful family in Mississippi. When I first became familiar with pugs in 1996, I thought the best way to go about getting a pug was through a breeder. I made sure they had their AKC papers. I mistakenly took this to mean that these dogs came with a guarantee of quality and health. Obviously, this is not the case. While I was fortunate to have my original pugs for many years, I will never buy from a breeder again. Adoption is the best way to go and there are so many pugs that need forever homes. I am so thankful for PugHearts and all that they do!
