During my tenure at a multi-faceted ministry in Malawi, I witnessed how the Malawi Project allowed that ministry to expand its assistance to the community exponentially in several areas. One of our areas of service was a maternity clinic. Once the MP got involved, we were able to equip not only it, but also dozens of other hospitals and clinics over a several hundred square mile area. Ambulances and trucks from those facilities would cover a field as they came to receive their supplies. Many of these clinics and hospitals lacked basic medical supplies like bandages and needles before the MP got involved. The MP chose our location to open up a warehouse that received many tons of other humanitarian aid as well. We were able to provide wheelchairs to the disabled, food to the hungry, school textbooks to students, and on and on through our association with the MP. The help came in more ways than I can elaborate on here. Then we learned that the MP was helping several other efforts across the country. There is no question that the MP is making a huge impact among a people who have lived in the grip of poverty and suffering for so long.
