Review for Maryland Society for Sight Inc, Baltimore, MD, USA
I first got involved with the Maryland Society for Sight as a volunteer. I was matched with a client with macular degeneration who needed assistance with grocery shopping. It was a wonderful experience which grew from a desire to assist someone in the community into a long term friendship. After a year of viewing first hand what this group was able to accomplish on a tight budget, I joined the Board of Directors, later serving as Chairperson. Twelve years of volunteering with the Maryland Society for Sight and I am still impressed daily with the skill, energy and compassion of the staff of this mighty little organization.

I witness the interworkings of this group. Audrey as Exec Dir brings years of compassion and institutional knowledge from her prior position as head of the preschool screening program. Sherry, Jackie and Darlene are tireless champions of their programs.
