Review for Moments Of Hope Outreach, Hanover, VA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

The way this outreach treats their guests like family is so heartwarming. The volunteers see alot of the same faces each week. We learn their names. Their story. Their hardships. We help in any way we are able. Whether it's food, shelter, applying for gov't assistance or even checking your blood pressure. We want each person who has an experience with MO hope to walk away infused with more faith. This ministry is blessed with incredible people.

Let me start by saying Moments of Hope Outreach is a beacon of light in the darkness of homelessness in the greater Richmond, VA area.
In August 2017 I was blessed to learn about MO Hope through a friend on social media. She told me about their mission and invited me to come out to volunteer (thank you Kim). I had no idea what I was in for. I showed up and became immediately hooked. Hooked on the feeling you get by giving back to your community, by praying with struggling friends and by the sheer selflessness of the organizers and volunteers day in and day out. It's one thing to hear about homelessness but another to watch your new friend walk back to their tent in the woods in the pouring rain. It's devastating to witness so to be apart of possibly the only moment of hope that person might have all week is truly fulfilling.
After months of watching the impact that Mo Hope has on the lives of our struggling friends I felt compelled to do more. So by the end of the year my company became a proud monthly sponsor.
The food pantry that opened in January 2018 is just the beginning of the vision of this organization. Their goals are truly inspiring.

I am so lucky that God led me to them.
