Review for Multidisciplinary Association For Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), San Jose, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have been a member of MAPS for 10 years since the age of 15. They have been a consistent and continuing reliable source for understanding psychedelics and promoting educational awareness about their use as medical and therapeutic aides. Their work is invaluable, because without this organization, many people would have less quality of life than they do, such as cancer patients, victims of PTSD, those with cluster headaches, and many more who have benefited immensely from research done about psychedelics. They have tirelessly been devoted to helping people in a field that is often regarded as taboo, and which could have potentially seriously jeopardized many intellectuals' careers who have participated; however, their commitment to furthering science and medicine has helped society already.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

My personal life and those of my peers.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

They are always teaching me something new and actively pursuing the cause.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Helpful and Intelligent.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Revolutionize therapy and help rid many people of their phobias, anxieties, mood swings, disabilities, and generally just improve society.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2010

Role:  Volunteer & I attended the Psychedelic Science Conference last April and am an avid participant in relaying all the information I learn to the public.
