Review for Multidisciplinary Association For Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), San Jose, CA, USA
MAPS is unique, in that it functions principally to promote medical research, yet also facilitates a social community for members. Considering that psychedelics have had a controversial past in the western world; it is especially commendable that Rick Doublin, MAPS president, has been as responsive and receptive to lingering public concerns. I credit MAPS as being almost solely responsible for "psychedelic renaissance.
