Review for Multidisciplinary Association For Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), San Jose, CA, USA
I was introduced to MAPS through a psychiatrist at the local county Mental Health agency where I was working. Having experienced incredible healing of my own PTSD through the use of Ayahuasca, I was thrilled to see this organization's dedication to serious research, legal issues and policy formulation, education, and inquiry into the healing potential of these substances as well as providing historical and cultural information on the use of sacred substances for healing purposes. Having been a psychotherapist and in the healing arts field for well over 35+ years I have heard many personal stories of how these substances have assisted others in their growth, healing, and the expansion of their consciousness.
