HopeKids KC has been a beacon of light during dark times for my family. Over the last year my daughter has battled relapsed leukemia. Though it was many years ago, we have been here before and knew how difficult the journey would be. It's hard to explain all of the ways that HopeKids has helped ease our journey, but here are just a few.

When our daughter has felt sick, HopeKids events have given her something to look forward to. No doubt some days she would have spent in bed if it were not for a HopeKids event that evening.

Marriage is tough in any circumstance, but even more so under the stress of having a sick child. HopeKids gave my husband and I many date nights. No planning ahead, no money spent, just one on one time doing something fun. Definitely helped strengthen our marriage.

We have a younger son. A sibling of a sick kid has to endure a lot, but they rarely get the sympathy or attention. HopeKids has been a major blessing for him and has allowed us to do special activities, just for hi.
