The Southern Connecticut Storm special hockey team allows kids with a variety of disabilities to be a part of a team atmosphere while getting to live out their hockey dreams on the ice. The benefits of this organization are instantly visible as soon as the player steps onto the ice and displays a huge smile! The Storm gives these kids a team atmosphere, confidence building skills, and friendships that will last a lifetime. I’ve been involved with special hockey for the past 10 years and I’m so happy that there are great volunteers and organizers who spare their time to keep these programs going. They deserve all the support they can get to keep these kids active and having fun in a team environment.
