Review for Multidisciplinary Association For Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), San Jose, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

What can I say? I know this is going to seem nearly obsessive, if not at least a little reminiscent of cultlike-adoration, but I speak both soberly, and sanely, when I say that their mission is so of the utmost importance, in terms of the overall NEED experienced by the human race for this avenue to be explored, that I would rank its ultimately being successful with the same level of importance as one might attribute to curing ALL types of cancer, or eliminating poverty. If you don't understand the plethora of reasons that their mission is so important, then it sounds insane to hear somebody say that their being successful will ultimately be an indicator of whether the human race allows itself a chance to evolve as a whole, and continue to make and do and create wonderful things, and to do good, and to rediscovering our spirituality that western culture has bastardized or simply wiped out...... Rather then continue to devolve into madness, and violence, and greed, and fundamentalism, and all the things ruining society today..... Their mission is the first major step towards putting people in charge of their own destiny again, for the first time in a few hundred years. But we're born and bred in the USA to believe the very opposite. We're raised to think that psychedelic medicines are no better then PCP or huffing paint thinner, even going so far as to classifying them unofficially as part of the propaganda as the terrifying sounding "HALLUCINOGENS"..... If you are reading this, and you have no experience with personally understanding why MAPS mission is so important, then you no doubt haven't the slightest clue what I'm talking about, and yet you likely have an absolute certainty that I'm crazy and wacked out on drugs for even suggesting that psychedelic drugs are not only NOT bad for us, as a generalization, but rather that our survival and happiness and advancement as a species rests on the dissemination of the FACTS about these chemicals. No more propaganda! The people of the US and the world deserve to know the truth, and MAPS has, in a nutshell, played by the impossible rules the US designed to cause people like Rick Doblin to fail, and yet he has succeeded so much already, along with the dedicated crew at MAPS, that if they never accomplished another thing ever, they've already done more for mankind then anybody can possibly realize, simply because of the serious, and positive light they have been able to cast on psychedelic medicines again, when it seemed basically impossible 20 years ago.... If you are not a member of MAPS, I IMPLORE you to take the time to learn more about them, and take the Pepsi challenge..... try and find reasons that they are not doing "God's Work" so to speak, as the further you dig, the more you'll understand why they are so necessary. The only real evil towards this subject is an uncaring public, caught between conflicting facts in real life with the fabricated propaganda faux-reality the DEA has created for us, and the level of indifference or purposeful ignorance it has bred in people who are not concerned with getting to know more because they don't realize how imporant it is..... Support MAPS Today! No matter how rambling and chaotic this review is, support them!!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

my everyday life, when I read articles on their accomplishments in the New York Times, the USA Today etc. They are truly amazing, and have advanced the field of psychedelic medicine and medical marijuana by light years, vs. similarly themed organizations.
