We began fostering last November. Sparky was our first and we still have him running around the house, getting under foot and barking at the slightest sound outdoors. Than along came Derrick, the devil incarnate. He was so abused before we got him that we could not even pet him. He bit my wife and I the very first day. Through patience and letting him do his thing, Derrick has come a long way to being ready for adoption. We will probably have to work with him a bit longer until he is able to accept that all adults mean him harm.
I love being a foster parent for Connor and Millies Dog Rescue.
