Review for National Humane Education Society, Charles Town, WV, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I grew up not knowing about vets, shots, spay and neuter. A few years ago we began to have a problem with stray cats. No one wanted to help to do anything. I was caring for 40+ cats by myself. I was falling behind with spay and neuter because it was taking most of my money to be sure they had enough food. There was a lot of extra work involved for me because I tried to keep all inside that would come in. I contacted the National Humane Education Society to ask for help. A gentleman drove to my home in a small Pennsylvania town with two live traps and a cage. He showed me how to trap and transport to the vet, plus they gave the vet $650.00 to spay and neuter the kitties I took there. Needless to say, this help was a turning point for me and the kitties. Today, I have four rescued kitties, a 24 year old cockatiel, and a crippled horse. I lost my 14 year old goat this year. As long as I can donate to this organization, I will. They really do care.
