I moved to Las Vegas just over a year ago; upon moving I started looking for volunteer opportunities to start embedding myself in my new community. I found the Assistance League of Las Vegas last October and joined. I expected that I would have an opportunity to volunteer but what I didn't expect was to meet and bond with other volunteers so quickly. Not only does ALLV do great work through programs such as Operation School Bell, the ALLV Thrift Shop, Kids on the Block, and more, but they have brought a sense of community to me that I appreciate and value. I would recommend ALLV to any new member of the community, as well as long-term members of the community that would either like to participate as a volunteer or benefit from the services that ALLV provides.
