Review for Moments Of Hope Outreach, Hanover, VA, USA
The name of this ministry tells it all. They give moments of hope by reaching out to the “least of these” by giving a hand up instead of a handout. Their Saturday Servings include weekly hot meals, mobile food pantry, bicycle repairs, clothes, blood pressure and blood sugar checks, bible study, prayer, hugs, encouraging words, listening ears and unlimited compassion. The goal of this ministry is to get people off the street and into affordable housing, empower people and not enable people and help them land on their feet. Their services also include helping with VA benefits, getting SNAP benefits, social security cards, birth certificates and licenses. These are needed for job searches. A food pantry opened in January of 2018 and continues to grow weekly meeting the needs of many families. Also at the food pantry are computers where people can look for jobs.
This ministry relies completely on donations from the community to continue providing for the needs to be met. If you want to experience true joy by giving of your time or money donations, then this is the ministry for you! Your heart will be forever changed as you look at the hearts of our Mo Hope friends. And our Mo Hope friends will bless you beyond measure. It is a win win situation for the volunteers and Mo Hope friends. Ask me because I know firsthand since I have been volunteering here for the last 7 months.
