I was originally introduced to HART by a friend. I used to volunteer at a stable many years ago when I was a teenager, and I loved the interaction with the horses. Being such a long time ago I knew that most everything I had learned was long forgotten, but that wasn't a problem because HART volunteers go through an orientation and thorough training. The organization is extremely well run, and you can see everyone's love and dedication to the horses in everything they do. They always show their appreciation for the volunteers, and even as a newcomer I felt like part of a family.
