I am involved with the Citizens Climate Lobby. Its function is to heighten Congressional awareness of the climate change factor. The CCL has a proposal that it believes is an important way to implement the reduction of carbon in the atmosphere and it wants the members of Congress to support this proposal with legislation effecting change.
The EESI has helped me understand and follow the activities that are being done to
confront the climate issue. It provides me with information and guidelines in my role to try and influence my member of Congress. It puts me in a more learned position.
I do not understand why the members of Congress are not using the EESI source more in their work, particularly since Congress established the organization in the 1980s.
