I don't remember how I found out about Shadow Cats, I do live about an hour away. I do know that I absolutely LOVE this organization! Sheila Smith and Dr. Smith are the BEST people. They have turned their home into this beautiful sanctuary for cats that had a death sentence do to know fault of their own. I love the work they do promoting TNR and reaching out to help other organizations. They have a great group that is totally dedicated and full of love for these animals. I know that they are saving to buy a place so that Shadow Cats will be able to continue their mission well into the future. I really hope they can get it set up in the near future and know that many more lives will be able to be saved.

One of the things that separates Shadow Cats from other organizations is how they treat their sponsors. If you sponsor a cat or group of cats, or are updated on their well being and always welcomed to visit. Every year, the Smith's host a Christmas party for their sponsors, staff and donors. This is the one event I look forward to every year. Meeting the nicest people and of course, all the wonderful cats. Anytime there is a fundraising event, (Black Panther, Amplify Austin) I share with all my family and friends and hope that they will donate. There are only 2 nonprofits I support monetarily (limited income) and Shadow Cats is #1. My husband even looks forward to the raffle every year and he doesn't like cats!

Anyone who wants to support animals and make a difference in an animals life, area communities, and be a part of changing how people view and treat cats, this is THE BEST organization to support! Thank you all at Shadow Cats for all you do and continue to do.
