I found PugHearts (or perhaps PugHearts found me) after I lost my 11 year old pug, Lexie. I was ready to add to our fur family and I wanted to rescue. I adopted Webster in Feb of 2013 and then like others decided to help when I could. I didn't foster right away, however, I transported and volunteered whenever possible. Then one day, I sent the director a message on FB and asked her, "What's Cheyenne's story?" and then I became a foster. HAHA! I am still a foster to sweet Buster and have since "foster failed" by adopting Stuart (AKA Stewie or Lil' Brown dog), a sweet pug/pekingese mix. This group is so much more than just a rescue for pugs. I have been witness to so many selfless and loving acts of kindness to animals and humans. There is no better rescue in the world and one filled with the best people. They are filled with compassion and empathy. PugHearts takes in any pug, any age, any condition, ANYTIME. Think about that.
