Review for Habitat For Safe Seniors Inc, Canyon Lake, TX, USA
I, my wife, and my children have volunteered for HSS almost since its inception. We have seen it grow from an empty lot to a thriving organization that helps hundreds of senior citizens and other needy families. The economy has definitely taken its toll on donations and available helpers. However, I still see many dedicated volunteers doing their best to serve this organization and the community.
More Feedback
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
seeing homebound seniors receive needed meals and groceries, as well as home repairs, trash haul-off, etc.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
try to find more donors and volunteers.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
working with other volunteers to help load food from the local Food Banks into the vehicles of needy families.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
outgoing, friendly and dedicated.
Ways to make it better...
we had more time and more help to get more things accomplished.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
an economy where people and corporations do not have spare time or money to continue to support these types of organizations.
One thing I'd also say is that...
my overall experience with HSS has been very positive. We have dedicated much of our lives to trying to help it succeed in delivering beneficial services to the needs of the Canyon Lake area.
