procon.org is a great source that I use to help my high school students get ideas for writing topics and to discuss issues that are current and controversial. We read articles that students can compare/contrast different viewpoints or use as sources to create their own persuasive writings. There are many ways to use this website to help teen readers/writers/thinkers! So helpful to teachers and to students!
