Review for ANIMAL GUARDIANS HORSE RESCUE INC, Simi Valley, CA, USA

Rating: 1 stars

I had the worst experience with the founder of the organization. I don't generally seek out places to write bad reviews, but this one is just awful. She's pushy, egotistical, self-centered, and just plain unpleasant to be around. Ahe literally told me I must not be a very generous person simply because I told her I wasnt interested in donating to her rescue at the time. First, she came up to me and interrupted my conversation - I did not petition her for information. Then she proceeded to force her pamphlet onto me, even though I said I wasnt interested. Then she insulted me when I said I was not interested in donating. Awful, miserable woman! If i could give 0 stars I would.

We hear that you were displeased with your interaction with the founder of the rescue. We would like to know what event this happened at and would be more than happy to discuss this reported incident with you face to face to resolve your issue. Our founder does not always attend our outreach events, and our volunteers are trained not to solicit funds from the public. Donations are always welcome, but never pushed upon the public. Thank you for expressing your concern about an incident you had with one of our volunteers.

As always, we encourage public supporters to come and meet us for themselves and make an opinion about our organization before making a donation or becoming involved. We always encourage people to meet with us face to face in the community and come to meet our horses. All complaints are welcomed face to face and dealt with constructively and productively. We encourage countrygrl to speak with our Board of Directors at our next meeting on June 24. The general public is encouraged to develop an opinion about and rapport with our rescue staff by personally meeting us and expressing concerns. We have addressed our founder about this and there is no recollection of meeting anyone at a public event, interrupting a conversation and pushing for a donation. That is simply not our rescue's style. This post seems to be written by a disgruntled former volunteer or someone not in agreement with our rescue, for personal vengance or some other reason unknown to our organization. Thank you.
