Review for Mercer Island Eastside Orphans & Waifs (aka MEOW Cat Rescue), Kirkland, WA, USA
This shelter is tops. Their volunteers are well trained and so personable. They do a great job of pairing adopters with th cat's personality. MEOW is the most professional of animal rescues I've encountered. Their foster families are well screened, as are the adopters, to ensure a successful home environment for each feline. I wish I lived close enough to foster with them once again.

Such a wonderful, well-run non-profit. They care so greatly about their animals and their volunteers. I love how they carefully pair their kittens and cats with the adopters. Each animal gets a thorough assessment of health and personality and their felines will be accepted back if a placement doesn't work or if the adopter can no longer care for their furbaby, due to unforeseen circumstances.

I love MEOW Cat Rescue. The staff is excellent. They offer good advice, and are so excited to see every kitty that comes in the door. Their health assessments of the animals go above and beyond to ensure that every adopter is familiar with their cat’s quirks and medical needs. The facility is very clean and doesn’t smell like cat litter, either. There are rooms which potential adopters can use to play with their future fur-baby, which leads to a positive outcome for everybody.

I love MEOW Cat Rescue. They’ve helped so many wonderful cats and kittens find their forever homes. It doesn't matter whether they were feral, or in need of a surgical procedure, or needed medicine; MEOW came to their rescue. Those who are too poor to afford to spay or neuter their pet gets help here, too. Even more than that: they offer a shoulder for those who’ve recently lost pets, and plenty of extremely helpful advice for new and long-time cat owners. When I had new kittens, I knew where to go. The facility is so clean; it doesn't even smell like cats. Their volunteers at the shelter, and their volunteers who foster kittens and cats in their own homes, offer safety and compassion for the animals in their care.
