Review for Assistance League of Omaha Nebraska Inc, Omaha, NE, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Assistance League of Omaha's flagship program is Operation School Bell that provides clothing for children in need throughout the greater Omaha area. They also provide emergency clothing for school children through the year. Project Harmony will also contact ALO for immediate needs in clothing for the children they serve.
ALO responds to the needs of women at Santa Monica House, teddy bears for children facing crisis, and books for various agencies throughout our city.
Assault survivor kits are provided for victims of assault. These kits are provided through area hospitals and emergency rooms. There is a change of clothes and personal items to help preserve the dignity of the survivor.
The ACT/PSAT Review Seminars is especially helpful for students taking the ACT & PSAT that are first generation college bound students. This program is open to other students as well. It focuses on test taking skills. Operation Teen Parent supports OPS' program to encourage teen parents to stay in school and provides parenting information, several scholarships, and several incentives to help the teen parents.
I could use up all of my space with more that ALO does, but I think one can get the picture of the amount of service the ALO does every year. The Assistance League of Omaha's motto is, "Transforming Lives-Strengthening Community"!
