As a LISD student, I first realized I was not the only one who suffered from depression and suicidal thoughts during a JTD school assembly. I was moved by the assembly and powerful message of hope; I joined the JTD program on her high school campus. Through the JTD program, I gained positive and healthy coping skills, as well as receive weekly support and encouragement from my peers. I am now a graduating senior at Dallas Baptist University, crediting JTD for not only saving my life but providing me a renewed self-esteem and skills needed to thrive academically and be effective leased on my college campus.
